First, the working principle of TC-TY series oval gear flowmeter
Oval gear flowmeters are a type of positive displacement flowmeter, which is also called a displacement flowmeter. It is a class with higher accuracy in flow meters. It uses a mechanical measuring element to continuously divide the fluid into a single known volume portion, and measures the total volume of the flow according to the number of times the measurement chamber is filled and discharged successively and repeatedly. The positive displacement flowmeter is in principle a hydraulic engine that absorbs a small amount of energy from the fluid. This energy is used to overcome the friction of the rotation of the flow detection element and the attachment, and at the same time, a pressure drop is formed at the inflow and outflow of the meter.
The working principle of a typical elliptical-tooth flowmeter is shown in the figure: two elliptical gears have a special shape that rolls and rotates in contact with each other. P1 and p2 represent the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure respectively. Obviously p1> p2. The gear in the lower part of the figure (a) rotates counterclockwise due to the pressure difference between the two sides. The rotation torque is generated by the driven wheel, which is driven by the lower gear and rotates clockwise. In the position shown in Figure (b), both gears generate rotational torque under the action of differential pressure and continue to rotate. When installed in the position shown in Figure (c), the upper gear becomes the driving wheel, and the lower gear becomes the driven wheel. It continues to rotate to the same position as in Figure (a) to complete a cycle. The fluid volume of four crescent-shaped cavities surrounded by gears and the shell wall is discharged in one cycle. This volume is called the "circulation volume" of the flow meter.
Set the "circulation volume" of the flowmeter to υ, and the number of gear rotations within a certain period of time is N, then the volume of fluid flowing through the flowmeter during this time is V, then V = Nυ The rotation of the elliptical gear passes through the magnetic seal coupling and transmission The reduction mechanism passes to the counter to directly indicate the total amount flowing through the flowmeter. If the transmission device is added, it can be equipped with an electric display instrument to realize remote instantaneous flow or accumulated flow.

The working principle of the oval gear flowmeter is briefly summarized: the liquid flow is completed in the measurement chamber. There is a pair of oval gears in the measurement room. Under the action of the liquid pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet, the pair of oval gears keep rotating on the rotating shaft. After measuring the number of revolutions, the total amount of liquid flowing through the meter can be known.

Five, the installation of flow meter
1. Clean the pipes thoroughly before installation, and install a filter in front of the flow meter to prevent debris from entering the flow meter. When the measured liquid contains gas, an air separator should be installed.
2. It should be noted that the elliptical gear axis of the flowmeter must be set to a horizontal position, that is, the dial is perpendicular to the ground plane. Regulate flow and start, closed valves should be installed at the inlet and outlet of the flowmeter.
3. The direction of the arrow on the flowmeter housing should be consistent with the liquid flow direction of the installed pipeline.
4. For continuous process pipelines, horizontal pipelines installed with flow meters should be equipped with bypass valves for regular cleaning and maintenance. Flow meters on vertical pipelines should be installed in the bypass pipeline to prevent debris from falling into the instrument.
5. Under the condition of correct installation of the flow meter, in order to facilitate reading, the counter can be rotated 180 o or 90 o according to requirements. See Figure 3 for installation requirements
Six, precautions for use:
1. Never test the flowmeter with water. 2. When starting or stopping, the opening and closing valve should be slow to prevent sudden impact and prevent reverse flow. 3. When the flowmeter is overhauled, the rear cover must not be disassembled, so as to avoid the change of accuracy during reassembly to affect accuracy.
Seven, error calculation and adjustment
(1) The basic error of the flow meter is calculated from the measured values at each verified flow point according to the following formula: (volume method) E = Vm-V / V ،ء 100%
E-flowmeter error (commonly referred to as cumulative error) takes two significant figures.
Vm-Measured value of flow meter (ie display value)
V-After correction, the measured value (ie the actual value) of the standard device of the flow meter is calculated from the basic error formula. When Vm> V, the basic error of the flow meter is a "+" value, indicating that the flow meter is moving faster.
When Vm <V, the basic error of the flow meter is a "-" value, indicating that the flow meter is slow.
In order to keep the flowmeter error within the basic error limit, an error is often required. That is, the mechanical transmission speed ratio is changed by replacing a pair of adjusting gears (adjusting teeth) installed in the counter, so that the display of the flow meter is worth adjusting.
The error adjustment cannot change the flow characteristics of the flowmeter, so that its characteristic curve is artificially in the new coordinate system.
In general, within the specified (or actually used) flow range, the basic error range of the maximum and minimum flow verification points is not greater than the basic error limit of the specified accuracy, and the basic error of the flowmeter can be qualified through error adjustment.
The flowmeters that have been used generally use the original adjustment gear set to perform error verification, and then perform error adjustment according to the specific error situation.
Eight, other
